7-DAY GREEK EXRPERIENCE WITH EXTENSION 3 DAYS TO ATHENS

In this wonderful excursion, your own group of 10 pax and more will spend three nights in Thessaloniki. From this city you will visit Kavala-Philippi and the site of the battel of Mark Antony and Octavius against Brutus and Cassius. You will enjoy a city tour of most attractive sites of Thessaloniki, its fascinating Byzantine Churches and the City Walls. You will experience the delicious food, a blend of eastern, western and Mediterranean cuisine, with many delicacies. You will visit the magnificent Royal Tombs of Vergina, among which are the ones of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great. You will depart for Kalambaka to visit Meteora, an UNESCO heritage, a particularly impressive scenery: Ageless Monasteries suspended between earth and sky, atop huge granite rock.

You will visit Metsovo, one of the most traditional and picturesque villages in Greece, where you can enjoy your lunch and wine tasting at the Tositsa Foundation, with the famous Katogi wine. You will stay at Ioannina, built on a wonderful lake, and drive north to visit the breathtaking Vikos Gorge, famous for the European brown bear and other endangered species. You will continue to Kastoria, the third most important Byzantine city, built on a lake. You will also visit Prespes lakes, to enjoy a tour of the lakes and visit the island of Achillios, with an overnight at Florina. From there you will admire the impressive waterfall of Edessa and continue to Naoussa, the heart of Greece’s Burgundy. You will get the chance to taste this region’s wine over lunch. Reaching Athens, you will have the unique chance of visiting Acropolis with its famous Parthenon and its impressive new Acropolis Museum. You will walk through the Ancient Agora where the Athenians spend their day discussing about philosophy and art, see some very interesting Byzantine Churches and discover Plaka (Old Town). In your extra day you can either take a daily cruise to Hydra and Poros islands, or combine the Sounio site with a visit to Niarchos Foundation. NORTHERN GREECE TOUR – 5 DAYS

You will continue your wonderful journey with the Archaeological Site of Dion. “CLASSICAL TOUR WITH METEORA” – 4 DAYS

Greece through the centuries will unfold before you o¬n this four-day tour. Prehistory, the Classical period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades and Modern times. During this classical tour you will visit the Theatre of Epidavros famous for its remarkable acoustics, the town of Nafplion

the Archaeological Site of Mycenae and the Tomb of Agamemnon, Ancient Olympia, the Cradle of the Olympic Games, the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. You will continue with the towns of Naupactus and Itea and arrive in Delphi. Visit of the Archaeological Site and the Museum and depart for Kalambaka, a small Town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. During this three-day tour, you will depart from Thessaloniki to visit Delphi and the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios and the Museum. You will continue to Kalambaka. You will visit Meteora, particularly impressive scenery, ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, stand suspended between earth and sky, o¬n top of granite rocks. Return to Thessaloniki.

METEORA - IOANNINA – 2 DAYS

During this two-day excursion, you will see the beautiful city of Ioannina, with the famous Perama Cave, one of the most important Caves in the World. You will visit the Old Town, take a one-hour cruise on the Pamvotis Lake with a small boat, taste the delicious cuisine of Epirus area. Following day, you will visit Meteora, with its ageless Monasteries, a breathtaking UNESCO heritage site. Return to Thessaloniki late in the evening.

CLASSICAL STUDY TOUR GREECE – 9 DAYS

In this wonderful excursion, your own group of 10 students or more will be able to study the major archaeological attractions in Greece, while having a great time enjoying the sun, the delicious Mediterranean food and witness the Greek way of life. Their sites of interest include Ancient Olympia. The first Olympic Game were held in 776BC, year that marks the beginning of historical times for Greek Antiquity. There you will visit the Olympia Archaeological museum. Crossing the Rio-Antirio bridge you will reach Nafpaktos city and arrive at the amazing Delphi. There, you will visit the Apollo Temple, the sanctuary of Apollo, the theatre where Delphic festival were held and the Delphi Museum. You will continue to Kalambaka, where you will visit Meteora (one or two monasteries, depending which are open) usually Aghios Varlaam or Aghios Stefanos. Meteora is a unique phenomenon of nature-24 perpendicular rocks on which about 600 year ago Byzantine monks chose to worship God and built Meteora, their monastic community.

How these monasteries were built is a subject of fascination for pilgrims and visitor alike. Meteora is an UNESCO Heritage. You will continue this journey by visiting Athens, the Capital of Greece. You will have an extensive tour visiting the Acropolis Site, the Propylea, the Erechteum, the Parthenon, the astonishing Acropolis Museum, the Agora, the Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You can spend your afternoon in Cape Sounion! The temple of Poseidon standing some 60m/200 feet above the sea at the edge of a cliff on Cape Sounion, is one of the most breathtaking and deeply moving sights in Greece. The temple is an hour's drive from Central Athens and both the site itself and the route leading to it are worth every minute of the drive. The road runs along the Saronic coast and from the window of your bus you can enjoy the endless and brilliant blue sea. During this program you can include an entertaining evening with food and music, in Plaka Athens.

THE WINE ROUTE OF MACEDONIA – 5 DAYS

Macedonia is considered as one of the areas of Greece who produces the greatest wines. The wineries have chosen are among the best in northern Greece. During this excursion you will also visit Meteora and its Monasteries, the great UNESCO Heritage and also the Macedonian Tombs and the “Vergina Treasures” at Vergina. You will stay at Thessaloniki, Naousa and Drama. You will visit 4 to 5 wineries.

AT ST. PAUL FOOT STEPS - 6 DAYS

During this six-day tour, you will follow the footsteps of St. Paul who first brought the message of Christianity in 50 AD. You will start this journey from Thessaloniki, where you will visit the White Tower, the Arch of Galerius and the Byzantine Church of St. Dimitrios. The following day you will visit Pella, Alexander the Great’s hometown and then you will proceed to Veria and visit the “Bema” where St. Paul used to stand while preaching. Continue to Vergina to visit the tomb of King Philip.

The day after you will visit Amphipolis with the famous Lion statue. Continue to Philippi where St. Paul delivered his first sermon in Europe, sowing the seeds of Christianity. Here St. Paul baptized a “certain woman” named Lydia, the first Christian convert in Europe. The Roman Forum, completely excavated, is after Paul’s time. Among the ruins, located on the rocky ledge above the town’s main road, is the prison where St. Paul and Silas were thrown. Continue into the modern port city of Kavala. Athens is your nest stop, where you will the Acropolis, the Propylea, the Erechteum, the Parthenon, the Mars Hill and the Agora where St. Paul spoke to the Athenians. Next proceed to the Olympic Stadium and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Continue for a tour to Ancient Corinth, passing through the canal which joins the Ionian Sea with the Aegean Sea, where St. Paul preached and wrote the famous letters to the Corinthians. You will visit the site where St. Paul worked with Aquila and Priscilla and visit the “Bema” where St. Paul used to stand while preaching.

The following day you will have a most interesting tour visiting the Acropolis Site, the Propylea, the Erechteum, the Parthenon, the astonishing Acropolis Museum, the Agora, the Olympic Stadium, the Temple of Zeus and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In the afternoon you can visit Cape Sounion!
